LINGUA GRAPHICA’S TRANSLATION PROCESS

project analysis
Document evaluation, formatting, conversion to editable format (when needed), word count, project set-up, translation memory set-up, time-line/schedule development.
document preparation
Review and correct possible errors in original documents before translation to avoid replicating them in target languages.
glossary & style guide
Creation of a client-specific glossary to manage terminology throughout the project. Styles guides are implemented according to target language rules, audiences and markets.
translation
During the first translation phase, our experienced linguists will translate all text following the parameters set out on the previously developed Glossary & Style Guide. A translation memory (TM) is created for each client, ensuring easy and cost-effective future updates.
localization of graphics
All illustration and graphics files containing translatable text are localized into the target language.
editing & reviewing
After translation, an editor with similar qualifications to the lead translator reviews all the material. During the editing phase the following points are verified: completeness of text, accuracy, grammar, style, orthography and general reading flow.
dtp & formatting
All translated documents are formatted according to the original design. New layouts will be created when needed for specific languages (i.e. right-to-left reading languages such as Hebrew or Arabic, vertical reading layouts for languages such as Chinese or Korean).
post-dtp qa
After completing the DTP phase, our team will proceed to run a final proof of the finalized formatted documents. During this stage, final adjustments to text and layout may be required.
delivery
Your files are ready to be delivered electronically to your email address, cloud drive, FTP site, or can be easily downloaded from your private folder in our Client Portal.
client review & feedback
We want to hear from you. Our job is not complete without our client’s valuable feedback. Once your internal review has been completed, we will provide a QA assessment and any necessary final adjustments to your documents will be made.
